Asbestos packings are made of 100% graphite-coated asbestos threads that have been impregnated with dry graphite. These are frequently used in pumps and valves for abrasive liquids, ammonia, steam, solvent, and high temperatures and pressures. Our offerings are a  highly durable sealer that is utilized in systems with valves, faucets, stuffing boxes, and other machinery with mechanical components that are watertight. Asbestos packings provide a big, wet surface where chemical separation, also known as mass transfer, can happen. These are ideal for packing optimization also known as the separation process. The opposing forces of heat and pressure vs. each other are typically used to separate matter during the mass transfer process.
